INSTALL CHEAT SHEET:
Step 1: Preparation
1 Turn off engine, and open hood.
2 Disconnect the negative battery terminal if wiring lights.
3 (Optional) Use painter’s tape along bumper edges to prevent scratches.
Step 2: Remove Factory Grille
1 Remove the bolts and clips along the top of the grille.
2 Release the lower and side clips with a trim tool.
3 Pull the OEM grille forward to remove.
Step 3: Transfer Components
1 If equipped, transfer the front camera or emblem sensor to the Apex Pro Grille using provided
brackets.
2 Reuse OEM clips/hardware as needed.
Step 4: Install Apex Pro Grille
1 Align the Apex Pro Grille with bumper mounting points.
2 Secure with the factory bolts across the top.
3 Snap lower and side clips into place.
4 Check fitment for flush alignment.
Step 5: Wiring Options
A. Optional Raptor Lights
1 Route raptor light wires toward the fuse box.
2 Use an add-a-fuse with two fuses installed: one fuse for the factory headlight circuit and one for the
raptor light circuit.
3 Connect power (red) to the add-a-fuse in the headlight or other fuse slot.
4 Connect ground (black) to a clean chassis ground.
5 Test lights (they should activate with headlights or different fuse if used other).
B. Optional Light Bar (with Harness & Switch)
1 Route the harness to the engine bay.
2 Connect red wire directly to battery positive.
3 Connect black wire to a clean chassis ground or negative terminal
4 Secure the relay in a safe location (firewall or fender well).
5 Run the switch into the cab, mount where desired.
6 Test for function.
C. Optional DRL Lights (Blinking Feature)
1 Route driver side blue wire to the headlight harness blinker wire.
- Note (SR5 model): We tapped the orange/yellow wire. Wire colors can vary — always confirm with a Power Probe or multimeter before tapping.
2 Route passenger side yellow wire to the passenger side headlight harness blinker wire. (We tapped into a blue headlight wire)
3 Use T-Taps to connect: Blue → driver side DRL wire, Yellow → passenger side DRL wire.
4 Use an add-a-fuse with two fuses installed in the INJ fuse slot: one fuse for the factory INJ circuit and one for the DRL lights.
5 Connect red power wire to the add-a-fuse.
6 Connect black ground wire to chassis ground.
7 Test: DRLs should blink with turn signals.
Step 6: Final Assembly
1 Reinstall the engine cover.
2 Zip-tie any loose wiring away from moving parts or heat sources.
3 Remove protective tape.
4 Close hood and check function of all lights.
Troubleshooting
• Lights not powering on: Recheck fuse tap placement and ground connection.
• Blinker/DRL not working: Ensure T-tap is firmly seated on correct wire.
