This is the most important question in the whole grille conversation, and the one cheap listings hope you don't ask. Every 2024+ Tacoma ships with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 — which means a millimeter-wave radar sits behind your front end running pre-collision braking and radar cruise. Block it, offset it, or put the wrong material in front of it, and those systems degrade or throw errors.
What TSS-3.0 actually needs from a grille
Three things: an unobstructed radar window (the radar must see through or around the grille structure exactly as Toyota designed), parking sensors that stay in their positions with clear apertures, and — on camera-equipped trucks — the front camera mounted at the correct height and angle. Get any of the three wrong and you'll meet warning lights, or worse, systems that quietly underperform without warning you at all.
Why the cheap shells exclude "radar trucks"
Read the fine print on $150-230 replicas: "not compatible with vehicles with radar/TSS." On the 2024+ platform that's every single truck — the disclaimer is doing a lot of work. The mold was built for the pre-radar look, not the sensor package, and the seller knows it.

Designed around the sensor suite: radar window preserved, camera provision built in.
How the Apex Pro handles it
The Apex Pro was designed around the sensor suite from day one: the radar's field of view is preserved, parking sensors keep their factory positions, and camera trucks get a free relocation bracket that puts the camera exactly where Toyota intended behind the new grille. Nothing is covered, taped, or disabled. No recalibration needed — it works like stock because the geometry is stock.

How to verify any grille (including ours)
Ask the seller three questions: Where does the radar sit relative to your part? What happens to the front camera? Do parking sensors reuse factory positions? A real answer has specifics. "Universal fit" is not a real answer.
